Derek Hansen, PhD

Derek Hansen, PhD, is a Senior Data Engineer at the Division of Health AI at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, Northwell Health, where he builds the data infrastructure that supports the lab's clinical machine learning models. He is the lead author of a paper on the division's EHR-based in-hospital deterioration model (NIDM), under review, and a coauthor of a systematic review and meta-analysis of externally validated Epic clinical decision support tools under review at the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
