Undergraduates

Undergraduate research internships

The division hosts undergraduate interns on a part-time, remote basis, typically for one semester, on projects already in progress. Interns work alongside the researchers and clinicians responsible for those projects.

The next cohort is anticipated for summer 2027, with selection conversations in spring 2027.

Prospective interns should write to Diego Gonzalez Garcia-Torres with a brief account of their background, research interests, and availability.

Doctoral candidates

Doctoral training through the Elmezzi Graduate School

The division trains PhD students through the Elmezzi Graduate School of Molecular Medicine at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. Elmezzi positions are funded.

Prospective candidates apply directly through the Elmezzi Graduate School, which admits physicians into an accelerated three-year PhD in Molecular Medicine.

Postdocs and visiting researchers

Visiting and postdoctoral research

The division also hosts postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, and clinicians who join ongoing work in clinical artificial intelligence and bioelectronic medicine. These collaborations are arranged individually, around a shared research question and a defined period of work.

Researchers interested in a visiting appointment or a postdoctoral collaboration should contact Theodoros Zanos, PhD, Head of Division.
